Progressive Nation
Just saw them last night at the Tower Theater. Scale the Summit and Bigelf were alright, not my cup of tea. But man Zappa Plays Zappa and Dream Theater kicked all kinds of ass! I wore some noise reduction earplugs, the etymotic 20s, which I kind of regret since it kind of muffled the sound a little bit. It reduced the volume but bass vibrations still got through and overpowered the other stuff. But my ears are nice and safe so I guess it's a fair compromise. James LaBrie was a lot better than I was expecting too, I know he has a bad reputation singing live but he nailed it!

Re: Progressive Nation
DT played here 3 times. All 3 times a 3 hour show and Labrie didn't sing 1 note out of tune!
3 hours singing from low to hi range and not even 1 wrong note.
Why the hell a singer can't sometimes sings a wrong note?
He's not a robot,he can't plug his voice into a tuner and he has to breath!
I saw so many times Dicknson singing wrong notes but nobody says a word cause......................................Maiden is a religion LOL
Jokes apart come on people singers are not robots!

Re: Progressive Nation
DT has always been phenomenal live, I've seen them 6 times. Almost every singer makes mistakes really. The only singer I've ever seen be completely flawless in every performance (as far as the ones I've seen - about eight) is Russell Allen from Symphony X. The guy is just absolutely ridiculous.
On this whole Prog Nation tour thing though, the "vip" packages really piss me off. I mean really, a nice ticket (which i can get myself just by catching the preorder and such) and meeting them for like $350? I met them and hung out with them for free like two years ago...but i guess to the diehard fans that don't care and just wanna meet their favorite band that's worth it.
