Reflux
Just saw them opening for SYL a couple of days ago. I'm not really into "metalcore", but I kind of enjoyed their stuff. They have some Dillinger Escape Plan'ish things going, with the guitarist doing some pretty cool tapping/sweeping solos, not something I expected and a positive surprise really. He plays a UV777BK, so that kind of belongs here...
Another opening band was Misery Signals - not really as interesting as Reflux, but very intense. They put on a good show, too bad the volume nearly made my ears bleed...
This kind of music is probably not that popular around here, but any thoughts? Any other good bands in that kind of genre I should check out?
