Re: RIP you crazy diamond
A legend - my favourite Floyd comes from the Barrett era, and I love both of his solo albums. Incredibly talented individual, whose carreer has ended way too early. Apparently he has lived happily recently, which is a comforting thing to know.

So? I don't see how his passing affects that.
RIP Syd. 'Tis a shame to see another great musician pass away.

Because he may of wanted to see him live at some point.
I never liked your music Syd, but you can't argue with the inspiration you gave others, RIP.

I don't think you could have seen Syd live since the late 60s. After all, he has pretty much disappeared from the music scene over 35 years ago.
The rest of the original lineup is still very much around, and in good form - too bad they don't get along and only played that Live8 gig...

Re: RIP you crazy diamond
My favorite story of Syd's antics.......... Floyd were in the studio cutting some tracks for their new album and they were in the papers and whatnot.
David gilmour
is in the booth cutting some guitar tracks and looks up and sees this old man brushing his teeth (apparently had been doing so for quite some time), and it was syd, some 20 years after being out of pink floyd >.>

Shows what I know about Pink Floyd
Still could've been a possibility, like getting an autograph or something.
