Hi All!


Absoultely one of my favorite guitar players of all time. He just had a unique feel to his playing like no other. Anyone else been down with RG since the early days, feel free to post. I think this would be the best place to talk about his playing,tone, gear, etc. I know he was a big fan of the Ibanez RG Series..540S,550s,565s,570s, etc...used Mesa Boogie Mark III heads, Marshall JCM800 cabs, Mesa cabs...currently have been seen playing the Mesa Rectifiers. I'm not sure what he used for any effects, etc. There's never really been alot of interviews of him which goes to show he is toally underrated as a musician. Any other folks out here who would like to chime in, feel free.

Hell yeah!

How will I laugh... is in my all time top 10. I prefer it to the more primitive ST prior to it. Great leads all the way through. Got some BL footage-he makes playing look easy.

Definitely, man. The 'How Will I Laugh..' album was what really got me into playing, and to recognize the guitar all around. And what ST did was something different stylistically to begin with, Rocky George just brought it..and added to its uniqueness. It wasn't just forced solos flying all over the place..there was a certain groove and choice of notes that just made me feel great when listening to ST. He is definitely in my top 3 favorite guitar players of all time.

Saw him a little while ago with Fishbone and he was great! (now that is an awesome band + live show!)

Suicidal has always been up there for me - Still listen to their stuff these days.... what a player!.and not wrong about those solo's...just amazing!

Hello, all. I'm a HUGE Rocky George fan as well...he's one of the reasons I play RGs. Does anyone know what kind of pickups he uses, especially during the Lights Camera Revolution days? Cheers!!
