Ron Thal at the X-treme Guitar workshop in NC

Now that the banner is up on the top of the page, I thought I'd mention this clinic in a thread. We're going to have the great honor of having Ron Thal come to the RMA for a clinic. His clinic though, will be entirely with a live band, so it's more of a performance in some respects, which is very cool. In addition, Chris Ptacek (from Chicago) and I will be giving a clinic the night before Ron's covering things like sweeping, tapping, legato playing and more advanced picking patterns. This workshop will be a fairly small event, hence much better interaction with the peformers and the other participants. I was glad to see Chris's name up there too... got to know him a bit back when he posted at www.guitarwar.com. One of my favorite players to come out of the sight, both as a technician, musician, and person. Good to see his name again...
