Hey guys,
Just in case you're nearby and want to check out
Ron Thal, he's doing a clinic at my place on Nov. 13th at 7:30 pm. He's doing his songs with a live band and he's going to do a bit of teaching. Details are here:

If you don't know anything about him but are curious, I guess it would be best to call him an "unconventional" player. All the most extreme sweeping, tapping and hybrid picking comes as second nature to him so he chooses to inject lots of humor into his clinics instead of breaking down techniques note for note. It's fun for us guitar geeks to watch him play, but he certainly doesn't take it so serious. He makes
guitar playing fun like it was meant to be.

The added bonus in his clinics is that he can literally play almost any song ( and I mean ANY ) that you request. If he's heard it, he can reproduce it, and more often than not, in a very funny way. He typically tries to add the bass and other parts as well. It's amazing to behold, heh heh.
Just thought I'd let you know there is still room....
Thanks,
Paul
