setting up an indie label

hi lads

i want to set up an indie label to release my bands music but im not sure how to go about it? do you have to register the label name or can you just pick one out of the blue? im sure a few people on the forum must have set up one.

You can choose your own name, as far as I know, as long as it doesn't conflict with other names. There are other legal things you have to consider.

Best to have some kind of business plan, with things such as goals, financial plans, and an actual action plan.
