So I'm going to do my first clinic...

...for a well-known guitar company. Cool huh? I've never done this before, so does anyone out there have any advice?

I'll be playing the company's new products for an audience, and the big-wigs from the company will be talking about them in between songs. I guess I need to prepare some backing tracks to shred over.

The clinic is in April, and I'll post full details about when, where, and who for, closer to the date.

I've been to clinics before but I've never been on 'the other side' to see how it's done as the clinician. This is gunna be weird!

The only advice I can give you is to keep it simple, interesting, and exploit the living crap out of the product.

Even if it's something you're not wild about playing, as long as it shows off the product, I think that is the most important thing.

You're not showcasing your talent, you're basically a guinea pig for another company's product.

Basically a rep from the company heard me playing at the music store I teach at, and it went from there. It helps a little that I write for a guitar mag, in terms of name recognition, i guess.
