Some clips of my lead tone

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5648704

I've been trying to get a lead tone I like for a while now and have sort of stumbled upon one I'm happy with. It's not really a typical lead sound imo, and not one I'd have originally gone for, but I'm quite pleased with it.
I use an XT Pro and I just wasn't happy with the sounds I could get out of it, so I'm using that as a pre-amp and using some impulse files for cab simulation. I find them much warmer sounding. Plus they offer a re-amping-type approach, meaning I can fiddle with the tone quite a bit when it comes to mixing.

sounds pretty good! One thing though, it might be just the recording, but it seems a little hollow and I like my tone to be like right there, that is why I love my BBE Sonic Maximizer

Hollow? That's not good lol Maybe that'll improve with some mixing. There's been no mixing done to anything yet, still waiting for vocals before mixing. I hope so. Is it so hollow sounding that it's totally lame? Uh oh. I was quite pleased with it.

I sold my BBE a while back. But yeah, they sure do add some nice shimmer. Thanks for listening and the criticisms though, dude.

It might be a little too "round" for my tastes, but it sounds pretty good.
