I seen them when they made a tatoo in Kat Von D's LA Ink shop.

I love this album far more than a grownup really should.

Superb pastiche of the era and every little touch is perfect.

I was almost going to ask 'why do all their songs say 'uncensored' and 'explicit' on it', but when I listened to them I was like 'oh. Yeah, that's what I thought'

And I don't know about you, but I doubt they get laid as often as they make it out to be.

I was never around to see the '80s, so I thank Steel Panther for releasing this album and hopefully returning metal to its former glory-hole.

I'm pretty sure it's just supposed to be a parody.

The guitar player Russ Parrish is a monster guitar player. He used to play with Paul Gilbert and in Fight with Rob Halford. And he is a teacher at GIT.

I'll refer you to my original thread - and yeah, Steel Panther ROCKS!

http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f27/st...eel-91820.html

And of COURSE it's a parody. And a damn funny one at that!

I don't know. The last thing rock needs is a parody of itself. If anything, this just diminishes whatever good came out of the glam/hair metal scene (ie, good guitar playing).

That's just my two cents though...

This is some funny stuff.
"But" if i remember correct every true heavy metal fan hated and i mean hated Glam Rock. This guys are more Glam Rock than anything else. With the 80's spandex, the puffy hair and face makeup. Not to mention the subpar lirycs and musicianship.
I like their sense of humor "but" i find myself laughing at them instead of with them.
"But" there is nothing "but about it" Ha,Ha!

Russ Parish plays in Atomic Punks!! the best VH tribute band on the planet. Not to mention Russ is a top notch dude. I think Steel Panther is just what metal needs. I for one, am so tired of screaming and "we're so angry and misunderstood" metal scene. Don't get me wrong there is some good stuff out there, but not Steel Panther good.
