Gawd..... wish I could find that ranting on my soapbox emoticon.....

Actually the fact that an artist gets a cut for each signature instrument instad of it all going to senior executives and shareholders just tickles me pink - I love it!

Steve may be a millionaire, I really don't know, and don't care, but he's donated quite a few pretty special instruments to be auctioned for charity, I believe he started, or was at least heavily involved in the Make a Noise charity, and instead of sticking all of his money up his nose like rock stars are supposed to, he starts a CD Label to release the music of artists who probably wouldn't get within a light year of any major label - no matter how you look at it, 95% of Favoured Nations catalogue has to be either marginally breaking even, or losing money - so releasing most of the catalogue is probably taking money out of his own pocket.

Anyone who enjoys guitar music should just be glad that there are the very occasional dudes like Steve out there who have, hopefully, made millions, because they actually do something with it that's beneficial to the music community in general. Running a label like FN is not going to make him a rich man!
