If I use the octave divider my teeth start to come loose.
I am hoping to get some substantial guests artists to play some of the characters but it's all up in the air right now. I'm moving myself from the Harmony Hut (In Encino) to the The Mothership (In Hollywood) on Monday for a marathon recording session. On the 26th of November, Billy Sheehan and I will be getting together at the Mothership to play with 3 drummers.
I'm so excited to be working on this record. It's thick and rich and whenever I'm sitting there doing it I'm in a state of bliss. I hope you feel the same when you hear it. It is different than anything I have done before.

This is the best thing I've heard about in months! I'm stoked. When you said it would be heavy and melodic, I started thinking about "The Black Forest".. if it's anything like that, then I'm sold.

Again, Welcome.

However,I really doubt if the so-called "musical" album will be tend to alike a concept album ala pink floyd, dream theater & many progressive bands...

Following on from what everyone else has said

Hello Steve

Thanks for joining the forum. We've hoped for ages that you would one day show up and post a message.
Read all the posts and you'll realise how much this means to all of us.

Don't be a stranger. Come back whenever you can.

PS I don't think anyone else has said this so
Thanks for designing the Jem and the UV. Damn fine job!!

Well, you can't beat that for coolness. It's a stone-cold honor to have you visit us, Dr. Vai. Best of luck on the recording sessions. I look forward to having those low tunings shake the teeth out of my skull when I play your new CD.

Holy Balls, I'm in Vegas... girlfriend lives by the Hard Rock, and I'll be in Tahoe around Thanksgiving, and again about a week before I go to Kuwait next month. Praise the Lord.

I´m blown away. I thought I was going to check my mail, deleting a lot of junk... but I find a mail from SSV, telling me he posted on the 333... now, if this isn´t taking care of the fans, I don´t know what is. almost makes me feel ashamed that I don´t buy more of his records...

What "black jem"?!

Steve is referring to a "black jem" in his letter.

I wonder, is it the 6-string JEM7D or the 7-string UV777P?

I think he´s referring to the JEM he poses with in DiMarzio adds. it´s not a production model, although I think most here agree that the finish would be a good custom option.

The first words I said to a Rock Musician:

At downtown at my city, to Phil Collen from Def Leppard: ¿Are you lost, Phil?

At the end of a concert at my city, To Patrik Johansson (Yngwie's drummer): "The autograph is for my boyfriend, his name is David"

Before the G3 concert at my city, to Steve Vai: ¿Do you have Pick-ups, Mr. Vai? (instead of Pics)

Before the G3 concert at my city, to Satch: T-t-t-t-thank you, Mr. Satriani

I promise Mr. Vai: When I talk to you again at Vai's chat, I won't confuse the words.

By the way, ¿When are you comming to Monterrey, México to play again?

The 8th female fan from you and Satch.
