I never seen anyone play a PRS like that before! Vai makes that PRS look good!

well if he does switch to something a little more sedated as he approaches the big 50 then I wont be complaining... so long as it plays well and isnt a gibson (personal vendetta/grudge/random hatred thing)

I actually agree with Mr. Roman. PRS were nice guitars when they came out (handmade), but eventually they switched to mass-production. Don't get me wrong PRS are good axes just not as good as their predecessors.

*ahem*

...I seem to recall when Red Ed was ALSO going to stop selling "those terrible Jap Ibanez guitars" too.....

I suggest when it comes to Ed, believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

All PRS 10 tops have Western maple. That is why they are so flamed. Eastern maple is way harder and better sounding but is not always so flamed. This is one of the reasons I do not like PRS guitars.

Re: Steve Vai and PRS ;-)

I don't believe the PRS Steve is photographed with during the "We Will Rock You" premiere is his. I'm pretty sure he borrowed it. Steve's PRS is more yellow. Usually if Steve is planning to guest during a jam, he brings EVO.

If I remember correctly, the jam above was impromptu.

By the way, the thing Ed Roman says about Joe Despagni ghostbuilding many of Steve's original Ibanez Jems is bull****.
