Steve Vai Solo Australian Tour - July 2004


Hello Mates and Sheilas,

Following are dates for Steve's tour of Oz in July:

Thu. 22 July: Metro City - Perth, AUS
Sat. 24 July: Thebarton Theatre - Adelaide, AUS
Sun. 25 July: The Palace - Melbourne, AUS
Mon. 26 July: The Enmore Theatre - Sydney, AUS
Tue. 27 July: The Arena - Brisbane, AUS

The band will be: Steve - Guitar; Billy Sheehan - Bass; Tony MacAlpine - Guitar and Keyboards; Jeremy Colson - Drums; Dave Weiner - Guitar.

No date for ticket sales yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I know. Check our Tour Dates for more info as it comes to hand.

anyone thinking of going to multiple shows?

i'm gonna go to the Adelaide show (obviously), probably do Melbourne and MAYBE Sydney....

Vai roughly comes down every 3-4 years lately - you gotta make the most of it!!

I emailed the guy who runs this site to tell him about the tour (I've done some work for this zine before) and he said he'd already got the press release. Looks like he didn't read it too closely though - Steve's last Australian tour was in 2000, not 1997. He does list a ticket on-sale date, but I would wait for Mikey's confirmation.

Should be a great tour for Australia. I hope the industry watches and sees that we could do with more support for instrumental music. The artists are here plugging away when they're ready.

Saturday 24-July ADELAIDE – THEBARTON THEATRE
Sunday 25-July MELBOURNE – THE PALACE
