The CD is great, very mature and I think a lot of older Vai fans will appreciate this album for it's outright Vai vibe.
I've had this CD for a week now and while there are a few tiny things that could have been ironed out the whole project is 99% there when it comes to song writing, rhythm section, production and general vibe.
I can honestly say that I personally would have been happier if Steve released this CD instead of Sex and Religion back in 1993.
I'd even take it over Real Illusions:Reflections but that's just me.
Your mileage will vary.

Drummer at Large

John, I have to say you are an amazing drummer and I'm so glad that Dimi collaborated with a great drummer rather than with a decent one.
Not many people realise how important the rhythm section is and how much difference a great drummer can make.
Guys seriously, I'm not kidding even a little bit, if any of you are recording solo CDs or songs or just need a great drummer for a recording project - call John.
Mikey, that goes for Steve as well, I think John is mashing the drums way more convincingly than Jeremy is doing on the Real Illusions:Reflections album.
It cold be production or the way the drums have been mixed in Real Illusions but Jeremy is just not as convincing as John.
