Hello all and welcome to this topic. I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so please move this appropriately. Basically I am currently involved with an attempt to break the World Record for the World's Highest Gig. This will be on the highest base camp on Mount Everest some 5545m up! However the breaking of this record is not for acclaim. It is for this reason - the families of Nepal are not able to look after their children and either abandon them or sell them into a life of child prostitution. This gig and the events prior to and following will raise money to build a centre where these children will be cared for and educated, and will in turn benefit the area local to it. There is going to be a raffle next weekend (Sunday 19th November) to launch the event officially and tickets are being sold to win prizes such as meals, theatre/music/sports tickets etc as well as more impressive goodies!
