Tony MacAlpine - Violent Machine
Anybody here have this album? It was released in 1996 right after Evolution (brilliant album as well), but released with vocals on a few tracks with different titles, then re-released as an instrumental disc in 2002 (the one I have). This album is a masterpiece, like most of his albums, I recommend any guitarist to pick it up. It is brilliant and
Tony MacAlpine
is a musical genious.
These albums are brilliant too- Maximum Security, Premonition, Evolution, Master Of Paradise, Chromaticity.

Genius and Tony Macalpine can be used interchangeably...

You got that right. I should've said all.
I still put Evolution higher though, I think if i had choose between the 2, though it would be very hard because Violent Machine has alot of great songs, "ARS Nova" is a brilliant song....Jim, if you had to choose the best song off Violent Machine, what would you pick?
"Mr. Destructive" is good too as well as "Circus De Soliel"....they all are, this album displays so much talent, it's phenomenal.

Re: Tony MacAlpine - Violent Machine
Flo, it's gotta be "Sophisticated Domination" for me, with the title track a very close second! The melody just grabbed me and made me hum it consciously and subconciously! For an instrumental song, it shows you the quality Tony puts into his songwriting!
