Hi everybody!! Cesar here.

As some of you may already know, I'm into the Guitar Idol 2008 contest so I want to ask you for vote my entry.

In order to vote you just need to enter www.gtridol.com and register, then pick up in your email inbox the password provided by gtridol to login into the site and then vote.

Once you are registered and already logged in, please enter this link www.gtridol.com/cesar-huesca and vote for the video showed on there.

Does joining the boards just to pander for votes on another site count as spam or advertising?

Being a newbie here, I don't want to start anything, but I recommended to Cesar to promote himself here. I consider the jemsite and vai boards to be the best places to discuss music (specially instrumental) and figured members here would benefit from being exposed to his music.

Perhaps he didn't know about jemsite until now and this just happens to be is first post. I know he's very active and appreciated on the vai board.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

I think his youtube videos have been on here a lot. So people are aware of him. I hope that he takes part in the forum and is not just looking for votes. It is unfortunate that this was his first post.

I didnt mean to single this guy out (even though his first two posts that are the same thing word for word), this was the second thread started asking for votes for guitar idol and personally I dont want to see Jemsite turned into voteformesite.

Cesar is an amazing guitar player, and I don't think he came on here just for the votes. He also owns two Ibanez's. His main guitar seems to be his Ibanez JEM 7vsbl, and he also has a 2020x modded. He has many well known videos on youtube.

To me, this kind of thread should be considered as spam, with all related punishments.
The guy registers just to say "hey, vote for me!".
This sucks.

what a bunch of sour grapes!! Cesar, I've seen your videos and you're an excellent player, you've got my vote. unfortunately there is a lot of immaturity that is on regular display on jemsite. sorry you were exposed to it on your first post.

Cesar is a great player, but I agree, this is spam and should not be allowed.

You have got to be kidding. There is nothing immature about questioning this thread. So what if it was someone else whose first posts were asking for support to win a contests and he posts this request twice? No one is saying he is a bad guitarist. I am surprised that he would not realize how people may perceive this action. I would have taken the time to interact on the forum before soliciting votes.

In hindsight, perhaps it wasn't such a good idead to suggest to Cesar to post here. I never expected this kind of response.

Had i known, I would of posted it myself.

It should be noted that is first post was in the test thread.

That's a good question. Unfortunately, you really can't get an answer immediately to that sort of question; it really doesn't prove itself one way or the other except in hindsight. So, I guess we'll see.

Don't be so quick to judge

The folks here would love to see Cesar as a regular member, that's entirely the point. Hopefully Cesar will continue to here in the future.
