Went to a Freak Kitchen gig last night...

My god I.A´s totally incredible...
...the guy is so flawless it just boggles the mind
and hilarious too!
I urge anyone to go see the band if you get the op!

I´d love to see him joining the G3 next time!
they´d be awesome together...perfect match.

what are your opinions on the guy (band)?

Great band! I haven't got all the albums yet, but they are on their way, as soon as I find someone who has them in stock.

Thanks for the tip guys - had not heard of them before but just got Spanking hour, Dead soul men and Move. Great band, scary guitarist, and he sings aswell! Must try to find a copy of his solo stuff.

Unfortunately, every place, including Guitar 9 is out of stock of his latest album. And I've had it on order with another place now (Impule Music) for 3 weeks!

IA's also got about 10 mins of video on the latest addition of UK Guitarist magazine where he demos his mad technique (and his tabla made on the body of a g and a humbucker - v cool!!!)

I've also heard he's got some video on Japanese mag Young Guitar this month but that's not landed in the UK yet.

Re: Went to a Freak Kitchen gig last night...

I love them, first song I heard of them was the "Nobody´s Laughing" back the summer 2004 when my brother was home and played it !!
After that summer my life was changed, I started up as a drummer but after that Freak Kitchen song..........damn, I started to play guitar instead !
I have played about 1½ year now and Ofcourse my God is "Mattias IA Eklundh" and my guitar playing is like his, I love to play Freak song´s and very much love to listen to it !

Now I´ve got all of their CD´s and love'm all, I really look forward to the Freak Guitar camp in a few years when im onit !!

Stay Freaky, Oouurrhhh....Ooouurrgghh !!!

I envy all of you out there, who have seen Mattias or Freak Kitchen live. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever be able to see him/them in Greece! I absolutely love his playing and songwriting! He would be a great addition to the G3 line up!
