Re: What is your favourite steve vai song?

I'm torn between FTLOG and Juice, but then I have moments where Erotic nightmares invade my sleep, then other times Here and Now, I'll think about touching tongues in th fire garden and think 'suite'! So I saddle up my Bad horsey and burn down the mountain, only to find Bill's private parts, to which my horse exclaimed, 'theres something dead in here' and I reply, "looks like he needs some blue powder for that rash."

Anyway, I could go on, but who really wants to see it, I'd get lots of Attitude from people and I'd talk about their Sisters, and someone would be like, "Dig down deep into the pain", and I'd be all like, "Yeah? YO GAKK !"

Just an ugly scene, so call it sleep, I'm off to bed.

My favorite is Junkie, from Flex-able. The lyrics are great, and the second half has all kinds of crazy guitar playing.

Re: What is your favourite steve vai song?

That's a tough one, but I'd have to go with "For the Love of God", followed by "Tender Surrender", then "Blue Powder", then "The Attitude Song".

Re: What is your favourite steve vai song?

I think my favorite "song" would simply be the little intro solo that he did to his G3 performance. I thought that was just awesome.

But, if you don't count that as a song then I'd have to say "For the Love of God"

Re: What is your favourite steve vai song?

That's a tough question. Narrowing it down to one song? I don't think I have "a" favorite Steve Vai song, it varies depending on what I feel like listening to at the time. Lately I've been listening to the "I Know You're Here" performance from the G3 dvd* alot but I might have given a completely different answer if I'd read this tomorrow.

*I pulled the audio from my G3 dvds and made individual 320 kbs mp3s from the Vai and Satch tracks so I can listen to the tunes without a dvd player/tv handy. I like live music.

Lotus Feet blew me away recently but the best is still either For the love of God or I'm the Hell outta here on the g3 dvd.

Re: What is your favourite steve vai song?

pretty hard to answer. for the love of god is a great one but every time i watch tender surrender my jaw hits the floor, and i still marvel at the songs lyrism. He makes the guitar talk in that song. attitude song, blue powder, die to live, ya yo gakk, bad horsie, JUICE, I'm the hell outa here, boston rain melody, lotus feet, actually all the 7th songs...
I could go on, and find that i have counted all of them
