Ok, so maybe this doesn't belong here... but this is a mystery that has surrounded guitar magazines for years.
What tuning is Robin Trower in??
Now, I know for a fact recent live shows he is tuned a whole step down, like seen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1R5Y...eature=related
I can hear that he is for sure a whole step down on these 2 recent concerts....but...
But what about the Bridge of Sighs album from the 70's??
It sounds low to me, but.... the Hal Leonard guitar tab says that 1 song is down 1/2 step, and the rest in standard.
But listen to these songs.... they sound low to me:
Album version's of each song:

Conflicting stories??
Trower's instructional video from the 80's...he says "I tune down live to lessen the stress on my left hand from playing 4 or 5 shows a week."
Spoke with Trower's guitar tech during a 1997 show in Pittsburgh he said "If Robin is in anything besides standard tuning, its news to me."
Most tab books have Trower in standard tuning for 95% of what I have seen, 1/2 step down for a few here and there.
My opinion is that he is a whole step down, and always has been...
But, I am not an expert....can anyone solve this mystery for me???
