When he tried to touch the sun!!

John Denver

10th year of the loss of a wonderful person and extremely gifted musican!!

His music has brought a smile to SOO many a frowning face thoughout the years.

My dad knew him and I guess we stayed in his cabin in Aspen. Too bad I was too young to remember any of it

What a beautuful voice, pure writer and player. He always been known for his vocals, but John was a player indeed as well! Some of his rhythms (though they may sound easy) are far from that. It's funny to see some of the virtuoso's try to play his songs They always gain a new found respect!!! *wow....and he sang too* Fathom that

John will keep touching hearts with his music for an eternity!!!

~Thank god I'm a country boy~

Thanks Johnny

I always loved the gentleness in his face and eyes. He must have been beloved by everyone who knew him.

Oh yeah, and it's all about the heart in his music hun

I figured posting this here wouldn't get much response, but I had to pay tributes regardless

My favorite thing John did was his testimony to Congress over the PMRC and censorship. I'm sure many senators thought he'd be their boy from his appearance and music. Boy, did he disappoint them! He was NOT Dee Snyder or Frank Zappa, but he was equally against censorship.
The world could use more people like them.

Wow it has already been 10 years. Always liked his music. Wish we could have heard more from him.

WOW, 10 years. My parents used to play his music all the time, especially at christmas. I didn't really appreciate how good he was until I got older. He seemed so down to earth, a peoples person. I do miss his music. That voice, it was just so pure. chef21

I watched a good documentary/biography of him a while back. He was truly a great person and musician.
