Where did "Lighter Shade Of Green" come from?

I never remember to check at home, but I noticed it on the listing of the "Infinite Steve Vai" collection. Is that the little instrumental ditty on Alkatrazz's "Disturbing the Peace" CD from the boxed set?

If not, what CD is it from?

That's the album it's on. One of my personal fave Vai records. Great playing throughout. Worth getting IMO.

That's where its from Alcatrazz's "Disturbing the Peace". Originally released in 1985 and again on a smaller label in 1995 (on CD this time). Then Steve put the hole CD into his box-set in 2001.

Thanks guys. I only keep backup discs here at work, the original is in my closet, safe from scratches. I agree, good CD. Very 80's, but I like hearing Vai in different contexts.

So I guess I don't have any reason to buy the Infinite Vai anthology, then.

I think but I am not completely sure on the Infinite Anthology CD of Steve there is an exra track from the Alive in an Ultra World recordings which isn't on the CD (Europe/US version). I think it is a japanese bonus track.

Well I just checked the setlist from Amazon.com and I have every track on the Anthology on one CD or another. Thanks for the info, guys!
