Hey all


I have an audition for a pretty major/high-profile gig tomorrow (March 8 '05). It's a piano/vocal gig - not guitar. I've been thru two auditions for this so far (and done very well), and I'll be playing with the band in front of the 'yes (or no)' person tomorrow...along with 6 others.

I know i can come here and get support from my friends.

I don't want to fill in the rest of the details just yet (superstitious), but if i get good news tomorrow, believe me - you'll know about it...i'll be shouting it out from the rooftops!

A few of you who know the details, please keep them to yourselves. Everybody just please keep your fingers crossed around 2:20pm NY Time tmw.

Hey all.

It's been a tough day. Gettting into NYC during the day is never an easy task an today, it started blizzarding during the trip in...

we left the audition shortly after 3pm and got home at about 7:30pm. This is a drive that takes me 45-60 in normal traffic. between rush hour and the snow it was a brutal day. I'm happy i had my girlfriend with me to share the ride.

The audition is for the part of the Piano Man in Movin' Out on Broadway. They need a couple more subs, so that's the part i'm going for. Hoping it might lead to a regular gig eventually.

The outcome of the audition is in the balance at the moment - I hope to know more later tonight or tomorrow. I put on a good show...wish I'd sung a bit better - my nerves got in the way a bit. I did three songs and that's all they wanted - I was just finally settling in when it ended. Me and the six other guys all did 3 songs, so that's all they were asking for. I was a little bummed, nonetheless, when they stopped me.

I'll update the thread when I get some news. Thanks for your well wishes! Youg uys are the best.
