Re: Yngwie left Dimarzio!!!!

I guess we shouldn't joke about the situation, whatever the deal is, both parties should be respected, and I'm sure there is a good reason for it...

Next thing we know he's gonna leave Marshall. Anybody have an idea of what kind of pickups, straps, and cables he will begin to use?

Re: Yngwie left Dimarzio!!!!

Shocking!!!
I think Yngwie's relationship with Dimarzio goes all the way back to the early 80's. When someone becomes so closely associated with a piece of gear like this it REALLY makes me want to know what happened. It's like Steve leaving Ibanez! Unheard of!!!

That is the question. I can't imagine Fender designing pickups for him though. Surely they don't shift that many YJM guitars, and as far as I know they don't sell pickups as an after market upgrade.

Maybe Bare Knuckle? They make great units and already have an Yngwie inspired single coil.

I've read on here more than a couple of times that the Yngwie strat is actually one of their highest selling sig models, if not the highest.

Re: Yngwie left Dimarzio!!!!

Does Yngwie have a site? Seems like the kind of thing he'd acknowledge if it has ended, unless he still loves the pickups but doesn't get along with the company anymore.
