Yngwie leaving Dimarzio? Aren't pigs supposed to be flying right now? There's probably a good reason.

Re: Yngwie left Dimarzio!!!!

Yng's sig Fender is Fender's biggest selling sig guitar worldwide.. I'm imagining that the move is probably due to Fender offering to extend his sig line of gear to include accesories such as pups and etc.. he moves A LOT of product for them worldwide and they (Fender) would probably offer to give him a back end of every unit sold same as they would on his guitar..
Unlike most acts from his era.. his is extremely financially stable and responsible.. has managed his resources responslibly.. BUT he does have a wife and children to feed and to provide for their future.

Very true...and no doubt it's a money situation. With such a power player like him it more often than not is. On the upside (and relating to Fender) Dimarzio did pick up Billy Corgan.

David Gilmour has had the same essential setup forever (with the addition of adding the EMG equipped strat in '85).

Best as I can remember Zakk Wylde has always been consistent aside from a few pedals.
Slash too, although I think I read recently he used JCM800s with or instead of his Jubilees.

His iconic black strat has changed pick ups several times, had different bridges, and both rosewood and maple necks at different times.

bwwaaa.....Ahhh???

There's no reason for him to leave.

And check this out, Malmsteen management removed a conversation between him and Mr. DiMarzio.

I can't find any explanation why he dropped dimarzio anywhere.

Necks and a Kahler bridge yes, but its had the same pickup set since the 70s... Two old Fenders in the neck-mid and a Duncan in the bridge...

Angus Young? Pretty much just plugs his SG straight into the amp and leaves it there. I think he's been using the same gear since... well always.

I know...very interesting...It was removed from Youtube, CastTV, and on Larry's own myspace blog. I'm gonna send him a message!

I have been leaving questions on the Dimarzio facebook page and no one is commenting about it at all... You would think that both parties would make a mention... of it
