Your Dirty Dozen

Forgive me. This waiting for my JEM7VWH to ship from Rich is killing me so I feel compelled to start a meaningless thread to help pass the time until she arrives.

So just for the heck of it, who's your 12 favorite guitarists? Lets say we all love Vai and Satriani so you can't include them. I'm sure you can all name more than 12 but then my "dirty dozen" title wouldn't work.

Here we go...

Warren Haynes
Zakk Wylde
Jimi Hendrix
Steve Clarke
Paul Gilbert
John 5
Jimmy Page
Segovia
Dave Murray
Doug Aldrich
Jerry Cantrell
David Gilmour

Oh jeez, that was harder than I thought. Not all shredders but they inspire me nontheless. Now I'll probably change my mind tomorrow and decide somebody should be replaced! Oh, well. Tick tock, tick tock. One day closer to holding my 7V...

Re: Your Dirty Dozen

Ok, I'll go with (in no real order, it depends on the day)

Eric Johnson: Eric is probably the reason I continually pick up the guitar. I was quite close to quitting playing before I first heard him, but he breathed the will to learn back into me. Seeing just how well he has realised his musical endeavors is the continual source of inspiration that makes me attempt to realise my own. However, I sound nothing like him really.

Steve Vai: For all the great things I could say about Stevie, I think I'll just say this, he can sure design a mean guitar.

Allan Holdsworth: Allan is a genius. All hail.

Paul Gilbert: He's a bloody nice bloke and a complete nutter. And he's not bad at guitar either.

Marty Friedman: Just really, really, really good, and heeee's turning Japanese yes he's turning Japanese I really think so....

Brett Garsed: Hats off gentlemen, a genius...

Antonio Forcione: Undeniable awesomeness.

Greg Howe: Mmm.....................................fusion.
