How about "Love Is On The Way" by Saigon Kick . Oh come on, you know you learned it. And maybe "Love and Affection" by Nelson might count?

...and of course, White Lion's "When the Children Cry"...

And for some reason, I always think of Skid Row's "I Remember You" as an acoustic song, even though it really isn't... I think it's because I only play it on the acoustic guitar... for some reason that verse riff is really catchy.

Well, you said metal/hard rock, but I HAVE to mention "Through the Barricades" by Spandau Ballet, I love that song!
