Description:
From what I've been able to find out these were made in Japan between 92-94. This has a red flame maple top, alder(I think) body, 24 fret maple/rosewood neck. Binding,
graphite nut, Pearloid guard, push/pull tone pot for coil tap, H-S-H AlNiCo pickups. Has a few nicks though nothing too major, and nothing on the front. This guitar plays like butter. I know everyone says that but I haven't touched an easier
playing guitar yet.
My honest opinion on this guitar is that it isn't the holy grail for any style of play, but does everything very well and practically plays itself. If you have 10 guitars in your arsenal you likely have a guitar for everything you play and this probably isn't your axe. If you want something you can use for several styles and sound great at all of it I really recommend this.
I payed $650 Canadian for this about 6 years ago when I was just starting guitar, and it's in the same shape as when I got it (it was the guitar techs axe at the place I bought it, so I have him to thank for the little nicks on the back). I'm willing (and expect) to get less than I payed for this.
Reason for selling:
My tastes have changed since I started guitar, I'm REALLY into blues now, and like that straight strat/blackface fender tone. I've built my own strat and it's all I've been playing since I finished it. I'd like to keep this but I'd rather have some home gym equipment and the guitar that I made myself and play 99% of the time than 2 guitars and no gym equipment.
Sorry for the lack of pics... If you're interested pm me with your email and I'll send you a ton of pics with closeups of the nicks and any requests you have.
This is located in Waterloo Ontario, Canada. If I have some serious interest I'll look into shipping quotes.
Thanks for looking!
