I have for sale my beautiful 1957 Reissue Fender P-bass, Crafted in Japan. It was made in 1997 so it is 9 years old. The bass was purchased from a
local music shop in 2002. It had 1 previous owner and played and looked so beautiful i couldn't resist buying it! the bass has been used in my studio for the last 4 years, never been gigged.
The body is a beautiful 2-tone sunburst and the natural wood grain is visible throughout. There are a few dings and marks on the body and there is one large mark on the corner of the body where it looks like the finish has been sanded/worn off. The maple neck is a classic "C"-width just like the originals. As a matter of fact, Japan necks seem to be more consistent in this respect than their USA counterparts. The neck is ruler-straight with virtually no fret wear. The bass has been fitted with
Seymour Duncan 'SPB-3' Quarter Pounders (As used by players such as Steve Harris, Stu Hamm e.t.c). The tone is full and deep with a distinct punchy clarity with a strong bottom end and lots of mids.
