Gordon Smith guitars are handcrafted in Partington near Manchester. The GS1 is very similar to a Les Paul/SG Junior with a single
humbucking pickup, a wrapover bridge and volume/tone controls. The pickup can be
coil split via the push/pull volume pot.
This particular guitar was a custom order by the previous owner who specified a one-piece body, which has just two small strips added at the edges (VERY unusual). It has a very sweet sound right up to the top frets and is a great all rounder. The serial number is 09741. The condition is very good, with just a few minor marks and chips. The action is very low and it plays like a dream. The neck is similar to a Gibson "60s Slim Taper" and is very comfortable to play. It was my backup guitar for gigging, as it was for the original owner, and has therefore seen very little use. It comes with a gig bag and the price for a new similar model is £400.
I’m regrettably selling it to fund a new amp I've bought, so grab yourself a bargain! Please see the attached pics and contact via PM if interested. I'm based in Manchester (UK) and would prefer a meet/cash arrangement if possible. I do have a box/packing I can send the guitar in if required, but I'd prefer to meet as I have no hard case.
