This guitar is professionally built from the ground up. It started out life as a 1998 Ibanez RG570 and has had the following mods done by reknown luthier Dan Patton. The features of this one off guitar are -
* 5150 striped paint job in original EVH colour shades, finished off in highly polished gloss clear.
* 24 jumbo frets (zero fret wear), original Ibanez wizard neck (with bubinga stripe indicating Japanese origins) perfectly crowned and levelled frets, finished in an aged patina to resemble a late 70's guitar and finished in a rock hard clear. The finish is extremely smooth and has no stickyness like a nitro finish has. You cannot play a slinkier and faster neck.
* non-logo,
Seymour Duncan pickups custom ordered in 2 wire (hot & ground). Wired to a 3-way switch "BRIDGE-ALL OFF-NECK". Allows you to do the ON-OFF thing EVH does in You really Got Me.
* Original Ibanez EDGE trem bridge, a little pitting of the cosmo finish visible under close inspection but basically perfect. Trem arm included.
*
Headstock overlay is removable (held in place by the hardware), revealing Ibanez logo set under clear.
The condition of the guitar is basically new. There is however, one little 2.5mm paint chip on the back just below the black line that goes through the All-Access-Neck-Joint.
Price : US$699 (quality gig bag included).
