Ibanez RG550, made in Japan, 1987 in desert sun yellow. Plays great. I love this guitar, but I bought it to write songs for an original band that never panned out.
It has been used and has seen a bar gig or two. But I haven't played it out, and there's no smoke smell at all to it. It has dings and bumps, of which I've noted in the pics. There's the crack at the neck pocket that the previous owner painted over. It doesn't effect play at all. There are "barely" cracks behind the neck. You can barely see that they are there. The board is a bit grungy. But that's normal for a maple board. At one point someone tried to clean it up with steel wool, but used a bit too coarse of one, so it's a bit scratchy. The frets have a lot of life to them. A lot. The tremolo cover is missing. The tremolo arm is missing also. You'd also need a sleeve for the tremolo arm (Rich has them) for a stock arm. An aftermarket arm was on the tremolo at one point hence the "nut" on the tremolo.
The bridge and neck pickups are stock. The middle pickup I am told is a Hot Rails. The volume and tone pots work. The previous owner put another tone pot in (so there's 3 pots total), but it's disconnected. So, if you want to move the volume to that spot that'd be a nice upgrade.
It comes with a new Fender gig bag, and will be packed well.
