This is an all original Japanese-made 1987 Ibanez PRO540R in Bright Red Burst (BR) finish. It features a Basswood body, IBZ pickups in an H/S/S configuration with 3 toggle switches, an Edge tremolo and a Maple 'Ultra' neck with 22 frets on a Rosewood fingerboard.
Mechanically, it is in very good condition and was recently setup with low action. The neck is smooth and fast with minimal fretwear. All the electronics work fine but, the tone knob has a duo switch for splitting the coils on the humbucker and it still works but sticks when pressed down and has to be pulled back up.
Cosmetically, the finish on the body is in bad shape. There are countless scratches, dings, and dents. I was considering refinishing the body but I just don't have the time right now. There was a Tremstop, but that has been removed and sold separately. Also, I don't have a tremolo bar for it.
