Wifey needs a new car, so some gear has to go:
This is a 1987 RG550 DY (Desert Yellow) in typically used condition.
The good news- the frets are in great shape, the neck is straight, the action low. No hairline cracks on neck.
Edge trem works great. All electronics perfect. Matching yellow headstock. Serial # F7_______.
The not so good news- someone who owned it before me REALLY liked the look of old worn in maple fretboards, so they distressed it (or you could look on the positive side- you'd pay Tom Murphy thousands of dollars to do that to a LP and here someone has already done it for you... for free!). It is purely a cosmetic issue- some folks might love the way it looks, others might not.
Let me assure you that the look of the fretboard in no way affects its feel or playability. This is one of the fastest necks I've ever played. In fact, as a whole this is one of those rare guitars that just "feels right" every time I pick it up.
Other than that, the guitar has the usual minor dings and chips (mostly on the edges), and minor pitting/wear on Edge trem.
Includes brown leather case.
I'm sure I don't need remind anyone that 1987 was the first year for the RG550's, and that DY is the most popular color due to it looking most like it's big brother, the JEM.
Asking $500 plus UPS ground shipping (usually around $40)
PayPal preferred.
