I'm selling my '94 Emerald Green RG550. I bought this one from Jimosity in '02 as a #3 back-up for my Jem and another RG550, so it's seen very little playing time since I've had it. Manufactured in late '93, but the first AANJ RGs were not released until after '94 winter NAMM. The S/N is F34****.
Original Wizard AANJ. Matching headstock. Lo Pro Edge w/ bar and wrenches.
Cosmo Black hardware.
DiMarzio Tone Zone and Air Norton pickups. Ships in a near mint UV1000 case.
The Emerald Green is a very unique finish and is very difficult to photograph. Ibanez painted the body with a metallic silvery green and then sprayed a translucent teal before the clearcoats. Photos depict the finish as a bright blue green or a frosty pearl green, depending upon which way the light strikes the lens. The finish is actually a deep emerald green, with just a hit of the teal translucent on top.
No edge dings or dents, just a few light scratches on the top, under and behind the trem route. One small nick in the clearcoat on the edge near the jack, but the clear has not chipped off. Light scratches on the back. Maple board is highly figured and is nearly immaculate considering this is a 13 year old guitar. Very little fret wear and very light finish wear on the board, not to the wood. None of the scratches will show in the photos due to the way Ibanez finished the Emerald Green RGs.
The Cosmo Black tuners and Lo Pro is nearly flawless, no corrosion on the top plate, just a couple pits on the E and A saddles that were most likely there when manufactured. Light corrosion on the string blocks inside the saddles. Missing the trem and jack covers on the rear. (They were gone when I bought it back in '02 and I never replaced them.)
$500 + shipping. Paypal, money orders or US checks (must clear well before shipping). I'm limiting this to the lower 48 for now. No trades. Post replies here, P.M. or e-mail to
