For sale- 1997 Ibanez Blazer reissue model BL1025. Only $400 shipped to the lower 48. This was the top-of-the-line one (not to be confused with the BL850) made in Japan with many top shelf features:
• Alder body
• One piece, multi-radius quartersown maple neck. According to the 1997 catalog, the “neck receives 6 extra steps of oiling and hand finishing.” Sound familiar?
• Wilkinson VSV trem system, now featured on the
Andy Timmons model (not surprising as Andy used to play this model and it’s a great trem).
• Locking Sperzel tuners and graphite nut.
• 5 way switch with coil tap for many switching options with the custom JL/Daisensei pickups (these were humbuckers designed to sound authentic when split).
•
High pass filter on volume control to maintain highs when rolling back volume.
This is a great guitar for those looking for a versatile Strat-type guitar. Try and price out what a Strat with these features would cost from Fender-wow.
The guitar is in very good condition. Some rash and scuffs here and there, but great looking overall. The only real issue is a small chip (3/16 of an inch) and luckily it is on the bottom of the guitar by the jack (see pic). As far as my credibility goes, I have bought a couple of things on jemsite and one JS on Ibanezrules, and have over 400 feedback rating on the Bay (all positive). So I think I’m safe! Prefer PayPal, as I recently moved, but I’m flexable. $400 shipped to the lower 48. Ships in a TKL gigbag. Any questions, please email me at
