FS 540 Radius

Up for sale is a Ibanez Radius. Hard to say what model it is. It looks to be a 540R thou with a USA Custom Neck. The 540R series didn’t come with that neck nor the Ibanez pick-ups that are in it. The pick-ups are HB2 (Bridge), SS1 (Middle), and SS2 (Neck). The history of this guitar is impossible to say but I will describe each piece separately.

Body: 540R body with a blue burst type paint job over a Pink original color. The paint job on the guitar is damn good as you can see. There are no paint blems but there is a scratch or two here and there. No dent/divots down to the wood.

Bridge: Ibanez Edge with bar. Has normal wear but stays in tune well. When I got the guitar it had no string blocks. The dude who owned it before had taken off the saddles and put the strings through the bottom lol. I took the blocks from my old 550 making the bridge complete. It has been properly intonated.

Electronics: Has after market 5-way switch. Tone control is push/pull coil tap for all pick ups. Typical 5-way selections for Ibanezs.

Neck: As you can see in the pics it is stamped 550R with a serial that starts F1 possibly making it a 91 neck from a USA Custom 550. Being that this is 22 frets it looks like at some point someone shaved the last two frets off of a 24 fret neck to make it 22. They did a damn good job. Gotoh Tuning pegs. Cosmo locking nuts. When I got the guitar there we no caps or screw on the locking nut. I took the black ones from my 550 to complete that part. Has a classic Wizard Profile. Frets have some wear but lot of life left with no buzzing. Plays damn nice btw.

Pickups: Same as stated above but some folks have said these came only in RBM models thus adding to the mystery of this guitar.

This guitar is either a project of someone’s that had many nice Ibanez parts laying around or something more cool. I will say it was a very well done project.

Here is the thread I started on it so you have all the complete info. http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76083

No case just a Ibanez Gig-Bag. I am asking $550.00 USD plus $50 shipping to CONUS only. PayPal only. I have described this axe as well as I could. All of the above is as it is. It is early so I might forget something but that is pretty complete.

Always forget something. Does not come with any allen wrenchs as I didn't get any when I got it.

Went by Home Depot and picked up a set of allen wrenchs for it. I know getting a guitar without tools sucks. I will pick up a Trust Rod wrench this weekend. The Tremcover isn't shown but is included.
