Excellent, near mint, original condition in cherry finish with hot Ibanez INF1 and INF2 pickups. This guitar features set neck construction with a bound Alder body, bound Mahogany neck,
Rosewood fretboard with abalone dots, and a string though body Telecaster style bridge for some amazing sustain and fatness from such a light weight guitar.
One volume, one tone, and a three way toggle switch - nothing complicated here!
Ibanez first produced the prototypes of these models in their LA custom shop and when it was released it was refered to as a "Descendent" of the Artist guitars of the 70's. The neck, in fact, has the same width and 24 3/4" scale length as the Artist but they reduced the depth to produce a flater profile more like the modern shred machines they were producing in the RG series guitars. No other guitar has this exact neck profile and... it rocks! They should re-introduce this model.
Endorsed by players like
Alex Skolnick, Shawn Lane, Al Jorgenson, and Mike Scaccia.
These are amazing guitars and if you've been looking for one or just wanted to give one a try then this may be your oportunity.
