And the sell off of stuff I don't use continues.
First up today is a Crate Blue VooDoo 120 watt head. This is a late 90's version. I bought this about a year ago intending to use it as a backup head. A few weeks later, I found my dream Lee Jackson head, so this one has to go! I've played numerous Blue VooDoo's, and they can be hit or miss. Some sound like a bee buzzing around in a tin can, others sound thick, rich, and full. This one is definitely of the thick and rich type. Comes with Groove Tubes, which I believe are the Russian made Sovtek ones. If I were keeping it, I'd load it with some new JJ power tubes. It doesn't *need* new tubes, but I'd prefer just a bit more punch out of it. Overall, it is in great shape, with only a few minor scuffs. $350, OBO, plus shipping.
Next up is a set of Tannoy System 8 studio monitors. I believe these are from the early 90's. There is an issue with them; Each ones' high end driver sounds different from the other. One of them has a scoop in the upper mids, but a nice ultra high end extension. The other has a lot of upper mid content, but seems to trail off after about 8K or so. The replacement part has been discontinued, and I can't find them anywhere. I would suggest looking at
http://www.zaphaudio.com/ for a list and reviews of possible replacements. The 8 inch woofers and boxes are both fine, with a few scuffs on the boxes. $150, OBO, plus shipping.
I also have a Carver PM-175 power amp that I used with the Tannoys. It is rated at 175 watts per side at 8 ohms. A copy of the manual is at
http://www.tom-scholz.com/Manuals/PA500.pdf . $175, OBO, plus shipping.
Buy the amp and speakers together for $300, and I'll throw in some heavy gauge Monster speaker cable.
Continuing on in the recording/sound realm, I have an Audio Logic MT44 quad gate for sale as well. This was actually made by DOD. It's a decent entry level quad gate. $50 plus shipping.
And back to guitar gear, I've got a Boss ME-8 multi effects pedal. This was made in the mid 90's, and comes with all the standard effects; A few different distortions and overdrives, compressor, flanger, chorus, phaser, delay, reverb, noise gate, EQ, pitch shifter, harmonizer, and tuner. You can even run your favorite external distortion within the distortion preset. I think it can hold 200 user definable presets. I've owned it for 5 years, and used it for less than a year. It's got a few scuffs and scratches on it, but overall it's in perfect working order with zero functionality issues. Includes power supply. This would make a great entry level multi effects box. $100, OBO, plus shipping.
And I've also got a Yamaha SY-55 keyboard for sale. This is an early 90's, 61 key synth, with some fun and interesting sounds. I think it has 64 stock settings, and 64 user programmable patches. You can upload and download patches via MIDI. Comes with 3 instruction manuals. Would make a great entry level keyboard, certainly better than any PSR Yamaha. Comes with your choice of a gig bag or big fuzzy hard case. $150 OBO, plus shipping.
And finally, I've still got that damn lefty Floyd nut leftover from a reverse headstock conversion project. Cosmo black. Includes retainer bar. $20.
