For sale is my Ernie Ball Music Man John
Petrucci signature model 7-string guitar. Lava Pearl (discontinued colour!) with the piezo bridge and matching headstock, and standard dot inlays.
I have upgraded it with matching chrome dome knobs and a Tremol-No with a custom base plate Kevan machined to fit the angled block used on Music Man trems. The original signature knobs, trem claw, trem arm, hang tags, back plates, etc. are all included in the original fitted hardshell case, also included.
This has the original Petrucci signature DiMarzio pickups, before he switched to the D-Sonic and now the LiquiFire and Crunch Lab pickups. It was built in 2005, and i bought it in 2006. I won't bore you with the rest of the specs... if you're looking at this ad, you probably already know what this guitar is all about.
This is simply the best-playing guitar I've ever owned. I'm only selling it because I don't play it very much any more and I have other guitars that just seem to work better sonically for me.
This guitar is in excellent condition, and has been stored in its case either in my house or my smoke-free rehearsal space.
I'm selling it for USD$1600 (PayPal), and the buyer pays actual shipping costs from the Greater Toronto Area. I would prefer a local sale, so local offers will take priority over ones where i have to ship it somewhere. I will only ship to Canada and the USA.
No trades, please.
These photos were taken shortly after i got it:

Last week i did a really detailed inspection of the guitar in the daylight. There is some very minor wear and tear... I do take very good care of my gear, but it is a guitar that's been played.
The worst of the blemishes are a factory bubble in the clearcoat right near the control cavity, and a small hairline crack in the finish on the heel, near the bass side of the neck pocket. This type of crack is fairly common on bolt-on guitars with very tight-fitting neck pockets. It is a finish crack only, and does not affect the stability or playability of the guitar.
The rest is all very minor stuff, some of it i think would buff out. It's 3 years of playing wear, the worst of which is on the back, and from 5 feet away, you'd be hard pressed to say the guitar wasn't new.
However, in the spirit of full disclosure, everything i was able to photograph
you will find here. The photos have detailed descriptions of what you're looking at.
Thanks for looking!
