Up for sale or trade is my Carvin V3 head, just a little over a year old. I bought it for $1200 new straight from Carvin, and it is in absolutely MINT condition. I mean MINT--no tolex scratches, tears, no rust anywhere, no nothing. It is absolutely perfect. I've only taken it out of my house a total of probably 5 or 6 times.
Extremely versatile head! 3 channels, 100/50W switch, two FX loops, amazing amounts of gain, 6 different tone combinations from toggle switches per channel, volume and presence and seperate EQ for each channel, master volume, master deep, bright, and mid cut controls, clean solo boost.
Only two problems are: Tubes will need changing pretty soon. No signs of aging yet, but I've had it for a year and I play alot. Tubes are probably starting to go. The footswitch also had some sticky labels that had names for each channel (clean, rythm, solo). I suppose I could easily wash the remaining sticker residue off, I just haven't felt like it. I'll do it for anyone who buys it. You won't even notice the stuff was there.
PRICE: $900
For trade ONLY for a Mesa/boogie Lonestar, either the head or the combo, I don't care (I CAN add cash). No Lone Star special crap or anything; just a Lonestar, a la
Andy Timmons. That's the reason that I'm selling the V3--I just want American Lonestar tone, and I thought I would achieve it with the V3. The V3 can hit Heartbreaker and Recto territory, but not in between like the Lonestar.
Thanks alot all.
