I´m not 100% sure to do it.. but well...
I hate to do this but need to thin collection to buy new gear stuff. NO TRADES this time please... I will need all money I can collect. Soon I will be posting some other guitars (Edwards ECY165CTM, Kramer NIghtswan II, and maybe others...)
Took guitar from a player and collector from UK at the begginning of the year with the help of my dear bro and forum member Dave J. Ross (DJR) (Thanks mate).
Guitar is basically in pristine condition with no chips or dings... just only some kind of mark on the lacquer near the edge (see last pic.. it´s not touche up is only round mark on lacquer), it´s just as I get it from seller. No fret or finger wear, it´s super cleeeean. Bridge and hardware are also in perfect condition.
Mahogany body with maple flame top and neckthru construction over a purpleheart neck. A nice big piece of Rosewood fingerboard. Pickups were replaced for a set of pueple Evolutions (originally Paf Pro at neck and a Double Whammy on bridge) single coil is still original VS1 pickup.
Guitar sounds like no other and even when have Evolution pickups is not sounding as an Ibanez guitar you may think... and way far from a Jem guitar... nothing to compare... Sound is complety darke and deep in every single note.. and really fat and dense on distortion.. and on clean modes guitar sounds like a bell. Basically I can say it´s more closer to the sound of a LP than to Ibanez. Just simply amazing.
Guitar comes with OHS Ibanez case, trem bar and covers.
I think it´s not totally confirmed (don´t know the end of story) but DJR told me that guitar seems to be a custom order for some directive at Hoshino Japan. This person moves to UK in late 90´s and was when DJR get it. This MA1 models were made in early 90´s and only for a few months, practically 1 1/2 year in Greendale (USA) and were hand made by Tak Hosono (ESP). This model seems to be only able in Natural finish so this Trans Purple finish (first pics are the more closer finish.. but guitar changes from more pink to lavender or purple tones depending light) seems to be pretty rare (also is the MA3 by Roger Gresco in this finish). This guitar is from 1991 and serial number is #7
Asking price is just simply what I paid: 1850 euros and I will ship fully insured anywhere in Europe. If somebody overseas is interested I can ship but remeber it will be a little more and also some custom fees can be charged but we can talk about this by private.
