FS: Ibanez Japan RG421 Hardtail IN THE UK

For sale is a Fuji-gen Japan 2001 IBANEZ RG421 Hardtail, finished in gloss black with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Fixed bridge, Cosmo black nickel hardware with Gotoh Japan tuning Machine heads. Apparently this is a non-UK import model, so might be a bit unusual?

Anyway, the guitar has had the (mediocre) V7 & V8 pickups removed and upgraded with genuine DiMarzio USA Super Distortion DP100 humbucker pickups in white, with matching knobs and switchtip. It plays like butter, with an awesome neck and there are some fantastic overdriven tones to be had, with no tuning issues from the fixed bridge. Sorry, but I am not a fan of Floyd Rose's - the only thing that ever kept me from owning an Ibanez, until I discovered this model...!

There are some of the ever-present finish chips around some of the edges, with some general surface dings and some buckle rash, with strumming scratches from general use. The hardwear has some pitting as well, again due to use. Nothing structural, and the guitar plays fantastically!

The guitar was bought fairly recently by me and I absolutely love it, but we've just had an unexpected and quite large bill to pay this week, so I am forced to sell it on. I've done a quick strip and clean, lemon-oiled the fingerboard and, now that I'm selling her on, re-strung with 10s (too heavy, I know...!). I'm genuinely gutted, as I was looking forward to playing the hell out of this one! A really good quality guitar, with the key pickup upgrade already done for you...

Asking for offers around the 300 mark, shipped within the UK. I don't want to ship internationally. Pictures are available on request - PM me

Will ship to Europe (with the neck removed for safety) if you cover the cost...
