I have for sale here a Dead Mint Ibanez Prestige RGT220A-NTF. When I say Dead Mint I mean you cannot tell the difference between now and when I first got it. I have had it for about Six to Eight weeks give or take a day or so. There are no scratches, fingerprints, dents, dings, pick marks, or anything else wrong. Did I mention it was DEAD MINT? It has an
Ibanez Backstop Tremsetter installed. Vai uses the same device in Evo and many of his other guitars. The Backstop is set-up exactly to the specs as detailed on the sheets found on this very website. There are two choices when setting up the Backstop. Spring length for in-tune string bending is 17mm and 18mm for staying intune for a
string breakage. I have it set up for in-tune string bending. It was set with a digital micrometer so when I say 17mm I do not mean 17.01 or 16.99 I mean 17mm. I deal in my job with tolerances measuring in the thousands of mm or inches. I like precision =). If you know what a Ibanez Backstop is you know how hard they are to come by. This unit is pristine/day one. I don’t have the rubber pad installed but I am pretty sure I have it here somewhere but no promises on that.
I am asking $1500 for the guitar with the Backstop installed. Once I install something, I do not like to take it out. If you do not want the Backstop I will reduce the price to $1350. This guitar sells for $1500 anywhere else without a backstop if you could find one. These guitars are hard to come by as I had to wait two months for this one. I have a RG3120TW that I like and need the money to fund my G.A.S. gear/tone search.
