Is that 540R green or is the color just off in the images? If it is green, that is the first green "reverse burst" one (black in center, fading outward to solid color) I've seen. As far as I know, the only reverse burst colors available here in the U.S. were blue and red. Very interesting.

(mods: sorry for the discussion, but I think the question pertains directly to the rarity and value of this guitar)

Yes its a green burst which is kinda quite rare. I got it from Japan. I guess it was probably limited to the Japanese market. Thanks.

Sorry for discussion, but I believe it's a blueburst from the 1992/93 catalog. It's just faded/discolored. I've got one blueburst that's gotten greenish like that. The clear coat gets yellow and it turns the blueburst green. The blue in the blueburst was already a bit of teal/aqua color from the start. In the pics you can kind of tell that the black even looks like it's a little greenish black when compared to the tremolo and pickups. That's the clear turning yellow.

Anyway it looks like it's in great shape! I wish I needed another one!
