Yeah, you can find the color on the Ibanez Register listed under the 570.

The most unusual thing about this guitar is that the hardware is silver. Even the trem bar.

Re: FS - Ibanez RG 570 for sale

Hi there, I am interested... I do have a question:

Maybe it's just the photo, but it doesn't look like the Floyd bar could be pushed down much farther then it naturally sits anyway.

To further claify, I mean that I have had RG550's and RG570's before where you could literally push the Floyd bar down 2.5 to 3 inches towards the body....and still not be touching the body.

This photo looks like if this bar was pushed down a inch, you'd be on the body??

I am a guitar player, not a guitar tech though... maybe this woul just be a simple fix.... but I would have to know it can be adjusted.

I am interested though. Do you accept pay pal?

You're referring to the pop-in trem arm, and not the bridge itself.

I can send you some other pictures at different angles. The bar doesn't hit the body. There's a screw/spring that locks it into place. It also rotates 360 degrees without touching body parts (knobs, or switch).

Let me know if that answers your question.

Re: FS - Ibanez RG 570 for sale

No, the bridge looks ok.
It just appears that the bar is really close to the body.
It doesn't look like you could really do much dive bombing, as if you presses down 1 inch, you'd be to the body.

Like I stated before, I have had RG's where you could press the bar down 3 inches, and still not be touching the body. I am not knowledgeable enough in the design of Floyd bridges to say why this occurs. I just know I like a bar that has several inches between the bar and the body. Your's currently looks like it has a inch to a inch and a half.

No, it must be an optical illusion. This is the same as any other RG I own. I actually own 3 RGs (2 570s and 1 520QS) and a JEM7V. This is just the same.

So do you want it?

Re: FS - Ibanez RG 570 for sale

Brent,

In your photos, your Floyd bar is right above your volume knob.

If you bust out a tape measure, what is the distance from the top of that knob to the bar??

Your photos look like about 1/4 to 1/2 inch max.

On my 1987 RG550 in front of me, which was just pro-setup... if I place my bar, to where its right over my volume knob, its a good 2 inches...meaning I can do some major dive bombing.

Obviously, if your bar is only capable of traveling a short distance, then it's not going to be able to dive too much.

Not trying to be a nit picker.... but these Floyd guitars are not only a pain to set up, but they aren't cheap to have set up....your price is fair, but if I must shell out a $100 on top of that to get it to play acceptable to me...then I'll pass.

However, thats not to say someone else might not like it how it is.

Thanks

Re: FS - Ibanez RG 570 for sale

You might be confused on bridge styles. I've never played an Edge tremolo with the bar TWO INCHES ABOVE THE TOP OF THE VOLUME KNOB!

Here's a picture of each of my RG guitars. I never hit the top of the volume knob of these guitars, and when you dive bomb, the strings get floppy.

You can see the bar is never more than an inch off the body. There's a set screw where you can raise and lower that bar (but not another inch up) without adjusting the tremolo, and it doesn't cost 100 bucks to get 'setup' to make this adjustment.

Maybe you are thinking of another trem?

Re: FS - Ibanez RG 570 for sale

Thank you Brent, that was very helpful.

Maybe my RG 550 is "from parts", but doing the same thing you just did, I am right at 2 inches... and its great.

Ok, I will send you a PM. We probably have chit-chat too much here.

Thanks
