This RG1077XL is in immaculate condition. I’m afraid to use the term ‘dead mint’ because perhaps an eagle-eyed collector could find a reason to dispute that, but there’s no question that it’s in absolutely fantastic shape. It’s been babied since I bought it new from Rich Harris as soon as the model was introduced (see the RG1077XL-RB/0001 tag).
It has been played very infrequently; I washed my hands before every session, and wiped the guitar and its strings down whenever I was finished. It’s spent 99% of its time stored in its case, which I'm including (BTW: UV1000C -- $170 list, the guitar listed for $1499.99 originally).
The guitar plays wonderfully. I happen to have large hands and have no trouble swapping between 6s, 7s, and this baritone (27-inch scale) 7-string, but I can’t speak for each of you.
I’m selling it because I’ve lost my love for
Ibanez guitars, having already sold off a Universe, RG7CT, RBM, 540S, and 540R. This is my last one. It’s a great guitar and there’s a reason I held onto this one the longest.
It comes with all the original documentation, tools, bushings, etc. I also have white knobs and
bobbin toppers for it (although I can only find 4 of the 5 toppers right now. I may come across the other one, and if not, another can be purchased from universaljems.com for basically nothing). Look below to see the guitar in both forms.
I’m putting it up on Jemsite so that I don’t have to go into too much explanation about what this guitar is. I figure someone who is going to buy it from me here has been waiting for one and will already know what they’re getting.
I’m going to take offers and if I don’t get any that grab me in the next two or three weeks, I’ll probably auction it off elsewhere
Warning: I’m not a super-motivated seller -- I don’t need the cash to pay my rent or anything. Don’t expect me to let it go at a bargain basement price, although I’m not looking to screw anyone either.
I’m in West Union, IA U.S.A. I’d prefer to stay in the States, but I may consider selling it overseas (I’d have to do a little research to see what that entails exactly if a serious offer of the sort comes up).
EDIT: A money order is preferred. If you want to use PayPal, I can, but you would need to transfer the money through your bank account rather than use a credit card as I understand it, since I don't currently have a 'premier account' and don't really want to upgrade so they can take a chunk of the sale.
