For Sale is an Ibanez RG1550 Prestige BLACK, bought in early 04’. It is now used.
It features a Maple neck,
Edge Pro Bridge, and a Wizard neck. The guitar is slightly modded. First, the wood between each of the last four frets is scalloped (ala Jem), I’m not a master woodworker so they’re not perfect but they get the job done, they have been sanded and finished with tung oil. Next, the neck pickup has been replaced with a
Seymour Duncan Full Shred, and the bridge with an original Bill Lawrence L-500XL (yes, from Bill and Becky in Corona). Finally, I have made two “dots” right by each knob to more accurately tell in what position/number the knob is in (I do this to all my guitars cause I’m not as bright as most folk, lol). If you’re wondering how I did it its simple, I just made a slight depression in the pickguard and filled it with white-out, I used it because it dries fast and you can scrape away whatever overflows easily. Now for the ugly, there are some very minor scratches throughout the body, significant pickguard scratching, but most evident are the “dings” you can see in the pics. Also note that I scraped off some plastic around the bridge pickup hole in the Pickguard so the BL humbucker could fit better (yes very “Neanderthal-like” work, lol)
All of the original parts/wrenches/tools etc, are included, except the bridge V8 humbucker which I threw out. If you notice I will also include a second whammy bar, courtesy of my fav local dealer, but mostly because one of the whammy bars is scratched, courtesy of my younger sibling.
