I'm selling my beautiful 1992 Starfield Altair SJ Custom with a swamp ash body and See-Through Cherry transparent red finish.
As you know, Starfield is another example of a sub-label of Ibanez when the guitar design did not quite fit into the "traditional" Ibanez portfolio and had to have a different name. We have seen that on the Maxxas and the Artfield, although these two were even shorter-lived than the Starfield series. This ambitious project targeted another audience than the typical shred heads and had an American custom shop and design team behind it. The Altair SJ range was manufactured at the Fujigen Gakki plant in Japan and thus shows the same high level of craftsmanship as other guitars from my favourite Ibanez years - the early 1990s.
This one has a F2xxxxx Fujigen Gakki serial number, plays simply great and I replaced the bridge pickup with a DiMarzio "The Chopper" with a white cover but will include the original single-coil. I also replaced the 5-way switch because the old one crackled.
The most important features of the ALC630 are:
* Swamp ash body
* Maple neck with
rosewood fingerboard
* All
Access Neck Joint
* 3/3 headstock
* Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners, chrome finish
* "SF-10 Super Hard Steel 45 Tremolo" unit

There is one finish issue worth mentioning, that is is a spot on the side near the output jack where a case latch screw made its way through the padding and scratched the guitar's side surface badly,
see picture. Nothing the player or the audience would notice, though.
The guitar comes without a case - but I'll pack it in two cartons and a lot of bubblewrap; still a sale within Europe would be best.
I'm asking EUR 300 plus postage for DHL shipping. PayPal or wire transfer is OK.
